His career in marketing began in 2014 with Technomart, a startup venture. Otabek achieved significant success, dedicating years to the development of this startup. For instance, the "We Make the Cold Hot" campaign garnered widespread popularity, and Technomart twice won the "Brand of the Year" and "Client of the Year" awards.
In 2021, he founded his own agency, 605 Agency. Until the end of 2023, the agency provided a comprehensive range of marketing services—everything from SMM to PR.
During this period, 605 Agency developed a campaign to combat frotteurism, a project for which it was awarded a Platinum Prize at the Tashkent Advertising Festival.
In 2024, the agency streamlined its marketing offerings to focus exclusively on its core strengths. Consequently, services such as PR, creative solutions, brand strategy, and branding became its primary areas of focus. In 2024, under the leadership of Otabek Sharapov, 605 Agency achieved even greater success and executed numerous successful campaigns. Notable projects created during this time include a promotional video for the PDP ecosystem, the "Let Mom Go" campaign, and Technomart’s "Irrefutable Offers" campaign. In these endeavors, the agency collaborated with major brands in Uzbekistan, including Tecno (a Chinese brand), Texnomart, Akfa Build, Goodwell, Oqtepa Lavash, Pure Milky, the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President, Payme, NRG, Namuna Development, EPA, Cheers, PDP, Najot Ta'lim, Ermak, and others.
In both 2024 and 2025, the TAF! jury recognized 605 Agency as the best advertising agency in Uzbekistan.
Otabek currently serves as the Chairman of the National Marketing Committee (Milliy marketing qo'mitasi) within the Marketing Association of Uzbekistan.
